Bringing a revolution to the way Google Adsense works, Google is going to allow third party ad networks to serve ads on various publisher’s content network through Adsense. They have launched a new capability in AdSense that will allow third party advertisers from Google certified ad networks to compete with Adwords publishers to serve ads on publishers network. So, what will be the impact? Well, we may expect a better CPC rate, varieties of advertisements with maximum revenue at the end of the month.
Google will still ensure the quality of the ads that appear on AdSense publisher websites through all participating ad networks. Third party ad networks won’t be allowed to collect data from publisher websites and hence they won’t be able to serve interest based advertising solution.
Publishers now can see a new “Allow and Block Google Certified Ad Networks” feature under Adsense Setup >> Ad Review Center. You can easily allow or block third party ad network (like you allow/block normal ads) from there.
Google-certified ad networks from North America and Europe are included presently, while there are plans to make this feature available to other continent or sub-continent ad networks in future.
